Our Partnership with the Douglas County Youth Orchestra.

On October 10th, three composers from DEMTA Composes were invited to “shop craft” their compositions with the Douglas County Youth Orchestra. Mason Cooreman, Abby Frank and Anthony Leonard attend the evening rehearsal to hear the orchestra read throught their piecs and give constructive feedback for editing and assist the composers with making their scores “orchestra ready”.

Mason was invited to play the viola part on two of this composing friend’s creations. The orchestra will perform the pieces of two of these composers on their December concert. Mason Cooreman’s piece will be premiered in April in the DCYO spring concert.
